I have long admired the scientific research, education, and  conservation work of HawkWatch. Some years ago, I was able to travel to Veracruz, Mexico - one of the world’s great raptor migration sites - to witness the annual raptor counting with HawkWatch staff.  It was an unforgettable experience, watching tens of thousands of raptors ketteling in the sky  above us.  By being involved with the HawkWatch board, I hope to help ensure that such sights never become something that “used to be.”  It is an exciting time to be part of this wonderful organization which accomplishes so much through its dedicated staff, volunteers, and supporters.
