Winter Raptor Field Trip

Join the raptor ID expertise of HWI staff and volunteers as they take you on an exclusive trip to Skull Valley to view wintering raptors and share raptor facts. We will keep our eyes out for diurnal (daytime) raptors, including Rough-legged, Ferruginous, and Red-tailed Hawks, American Kestrel and Merlin Falcons, Harriers, Bald Eagles, and perhaps the Short-eared Owl. Be sure to pack some snacks, water, binoculars, and your camera. Dress warm for the weather and be ready for some great hawkwatching!

$20 fee for HWI members and $25 for non-members, which includes carpooling and hot chocolate. We will have binoculars and a spotting scope for the group to use.

We are taking two cars with three guests per car, so space is very limited.
