Spring Migration Field Trip

Spring Migration Field Trip

Join us for a fun day of spring migration hawk watching.

Spring is in the air and raptors are heading back north to their breeding territories. This is a great time of the year to get outdoors for some hawk watching, and we know you're itching for some outdoor adventure. Join HawkWatch International's Neil Paprocki for a trip to Squaw Peak to learn about migration ecology and in-flight identification in the field. Come hone your raptor ID skills with us! To prepare, you can also sign up for our free raptor ID presentation on Thursday, April 20.

When: Saturday, April 21 from 9am - 3pm

Cost: $15 for members and $25 for non-members, and includes a box lunch

Transportation: Carpooling is encouraged. We will meet at the HWI office before the trip to consolidate cars and caravan to the peak.

(If you are unsure of your member status, email us  or call 801.484.6808 for help)

Update: Steve Hoffman was scheduled to lead this field trip but had to cancel due to a family situation. We apologize in advance for any confusion this may have caused.
