Depart Salt Lake City and travel to explore the breathtaking Vermilion Cliffs National Monument. After sightseeing, relax at the Marble Canyon Lodge and end the evening with a presentation by Chris Parish on the challenges and victories in bringing the condor back from near extinction.
Take an exclusive and behind-the-scenes tour of condor feeding sites, and visit the Marble Canyon section of Grand Canyon National Park for a chance to view a nesting pair of condors. After returning to the Lodge, enjoy an evening presentation by Dr. Evan R. Buechley on the global status of condors, their close relatives, vultures, and HWI’s Vulture conservation work in Africa.
Before returning to Salt Lake City, finish your adventure with a guided birding walk around historic Lee’s Ferry and the Colorado River.
