HawkWatch International entered into a partnership in 2015 with Salt Lake City's Parks and Public Lands Program to study urban raptors and other birds, including American Kestrels and Western Screech-owls. We’ll be installing nest boxes in various Salt Lake City parks as part of this conservation study to research nesting success rates in different landscapes, including urban open space. Learn more about our American Kestrel Study on the project page.
