Expand your hawk watching to the winter months and see raptors in a different setting than at other times of the year. Join Jerry Liguori for an adventure to see the array of raptors that make their home in Utah for the winter, and learn the secrets for identifying raptors during this time of year, and the natural history that goes along with winter survival. We will likely see species that are rare, hard to find, or do not occur in Utah outside of winter, such as Bald Eagle, Rough-legged Hawk, Merlin, the "Harlan's" race of Red-tailed Hawk, and lots of Northern Harriers. Make sure to layer up and dress for the winter weather, and bring water and snacks. We will try to have some extra binoculars on hand and spotting scopes, but please bring your own optics if you have them since we are limited in supply.
Weather date: should inclement weather hinder our hawk watching experience, we will reschedule for the following day, Sunday, November 29, at the same time and location
