Join us for our Birds & Brunch event at Alta Ski Resort on June 23. This is a fundraiser to support the cost of caring for our Raptor Ambassadors--your $40 ticket purchase will help feed our raptors!
Brunch will be served in the Albion Grill at the base of Alta Ski Resort, with panoramic views of gorgeous Little Cottonwood Canyon. Brunch will be buffet style and include vegetarian and meat options, with, of course, mimosas. Mingle with our birds and volunteers as you learn about each of our ambassadors and get to meet them up close and personal.
Ticket price is $40 and includes brunch, mimosas, and lots of bird time!
Special thanks to the Feed Our Raptors committee members for organizing and underwriting the event, Tera Hunter for creating the artwork,Alta Ski Resort for hosting us, and Beehive Cheese for in-kind donations.
Meet one of our Raptor Ambassadors while learning the basics of bird drawing with Highland High School art instructor Tera Hunter. Tera is an incredibly talend artist in mixed art mediums, with a fun and friendly personality.
Tera will start with an intensive "how to draw" presentation, followed by personal instruction to help get your bird artwork soaring. One of our education birds will be your bird model, although you're more than welcome to bring a bird photo of your choice to draw.
This workshop is intended for beginner to intermediate drawers, and all supplies will be provided (drawing paper, drawing pencils, erasers).
Wine and bites provided (or you can bring your own libation of choice).
Registration will be limited to the first 15 people, so sign-up today!
Relish tales with old friends and new, and revel in the company of fellow raptor conservationists. Take a chance and bid on rare and unique auction items as you are serenaded by the soothing tones of Erica Hansen and Her Jazzy Gents. While you enjoy a delectable dinner, HWI Senior Scientist Dave Oleyar will discuss the engaged and enthused citizen scientists working to expose the mystery of Forest Owls found on the sky islands of Arizona: the Chiricahua Mountains.
Please join us for an exceptional and rarefied experience!
