Citizen science volunteers are needed to help us collect data on wintering raptor behaviors and habitat use around the state of Utah. Volunteers will drive along established routes to monitor vast open country to both inventory raptors and to unlock the subtle mysteries of how they utilize the winter landscape. This will be our 8th consecutive season of collecting standardized data and scouting new routes for raptor presence throughout central and northern Utah. Project volunteers will get to see some arctic raptor species only seen here in the winter months (Rough-legged Hawks, Short-eared Owls, Bald Eagles, etc), and notate how they use the landscape.
