The Christmas Bird Count is one of the longest-running community science projects—running since Christmas day 1900! Every year, tens of thousands of volunteers across America count to assess the health of bird populations. Join us for a panel discussion hosted by Dr. Steve Slater, HWI Conservation Science Director, with panelists Neil Paprocki, ornithologist, former HWI Biologist, and Ph.D. candidate at the University of Idaho, Dr. Chris McClure, Director of Global Conservation Science at the Peregrine Fund, and Dr. Dave Oleyar, HWI Director of Long Term Monitoring and Community Science on how the Christmas Bird Count impacts raptor conservation.
We are able to offer this program for free thanks to funding from Salt Lake County ZAP and the generosity of supporters like you.
