Growing up, Anna Labrum watched a screech owl family that lived in a big, beautiful, long-needled pine tree in her neighbor’s backyard. It influenced her entire life, propelling her into an obsession with birds and photography and making her choice of favorite raptor, the screech owl, just a tiny bit easier.
Anna completed a business management degree at the Huntsman School of Business at Utah State University as a pathway to help others and the environment. Anna is looking forward to using her education and experience to contribute meaningfully to the administrative functions at HawkWatch International.
Outside of work, Anna loves to spend time in the kitchen, cooking and baking, or creating art with everything from traditional tools like paint and pencil to found objects. However, she prefers to be outside. Anna says that being outside in any capacity connects her to the dirt, trees, sand, rock, and the creatures and birds who reside there.
Favorite Raptor: Screech owls
