Community Programs

Bringing Nature to You

Our community programs focus on outreach that “closes the nature gap,” prioritizing programs bringing nature to people who have physical or economic barriers to accessing natural areas or zoological institutions where they would be able to easily view raptors. Funding may be available to offset the cost of some community outreach programs.

Parade of Raptors

This program features anywhere from 2-5 birds and is best suited to a seated audience. Learners will discover what makes a bird a raptor, how raptors fit into their ecosystems, and how different types of raptors have different features depending on what, when, and where they hunt. Learners will get the chance to view each bird up close, hear their stories, take photos, and ask questions.

Meet and Greet Booth

Our most requested program is an informal meet-and-greet station where people can approach at will to see the birds up close and learn more about them. In these programs, educators and/or subpermitted docents introduce the birds and share a few quick facts about them. Booths feature anywhere from 1-3 birds and can include additional hands-on activities by request.

Private Events

What better way to celebrate your birthday, anniversary, or company milestone than with our Raptor Ambassadors? We bring raptors to provide your friends, family, or team a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
